Aman is desperate, the unscrupulous property dealer to cinematic perfection. The money bag he offers Aman makes quite apparently obvious - that in the midst of the crisis of the money crisis, these are the real targets of the repression of black government money.

Aman is married to Divya (played by Neha Dhupia). He is an unscrupulous realtor who is desperate to escape the humdrum of his middle class life. She is a successful news producer in a television channel, which feels emotionally disconnected from her husband. The film follows a non-linear narrative, going and coming in time to establish events from the point of view of Aman and Divya. This works well in establishing the type of couple they do - secret, suspicious, and somewhat dysfunctional.
The beauty of the film is in its wonderfully engraved third character - the one who constantly shapes Aman and Divya of life - the city of Delhi. Delhi was strongly represented on the screen before, but for some reason, it presents itself as a quite different character in the film, one that is intrinsically connected to the protagonist couple.
Ranvir Shorey as the immoral-yet-loving Aman is perfect (especially his Delhi broker accent). Neha Dhupia absorbs Divya's ambition, but really shines in desperate and visceral moments when she realizes she has lost everything.
