Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's Sardaar Gabbar Singh had released earlier today amid huge fanfare. The movie however failed to reach the hype and expectations which are towering and ended up with the flop talk. Despite the bad talk and reviews, the movie managed to create its first ever record and it comes from the Overseas Premieres.
Crossing the Overseas Premieres Record Collections of Srimanthudu (non—Baahubali Category record), the movie emerged as the biggest Tollywood Grosser for the Premieres in Overseas. Back then, Srimanthudu collected $537K to create this record and now Sardaar Gabbar Singh had amassed $606K Gross from 154 locations to create a new record.
Very Good Planning by the local distributor, High ticket prices ($25-28 for adults), a huge hype in the audience on the film helped the movie bag the record. However the talk and the reviews of the film are not at all heartening. Usually Reviews and Ratings will have huge bearing on the collections of Telugu films in Overseas. Lets see how the film ends up in the long run.
