Young Rebel Star Prabhas' brother Prabodh Uppalapati was on Tuesday sentenced to 1 year imprisonment by the Rajendranagar magistrate court in a cheque bounce case. As per the latest media reports, Prabodh issued a cheque for Rs. 43 lakh to a city-based businessman, but it bounced due to lack of funds.
The said businessman then filed a police complaint and followed it up with a legal case against Prabodh. After a series hearings, the magistrate court has given its verdict yesterday, sentencing Prabodh to 1 year jail term.
The court has also ordered Prabodh to pay Rs. 80 lakh within a span of 2 months from the date of judgement. Prabodh is the elder brother of Prabhas and the actor has another sibling, elder sister Pragathi. Prabhas is currently shooting for Baahubali part 2.
