After Teja, it is now the turn of his guru Ram Gopal Varma to target celebrities adopting villages. RGV said if someone adopts the villages it would be an insult to them. The eccentric filmmaker took to her Twitter handle and wrote:
"I find this whole business celebrities are adopting the villages very insulting villages ..No-respecting village will afford to be adopted. Imagine how we will feel insulted if a Hollywood star would adopt india reminding us that we are an underdeveloped country. People who adopt reflection villages are orphans or beggars or disabled, or what? If villages have any self respect they should protest. any village which is ready for adoption is actually admitting that his left function on pieces thrown to her by the rich and famous "(sic).
RGV has targeted like Mahesh Babu, Shruti Haasan, Prakash Raj, Manchu Vishnu etc who have announced they adopt targeted villages.
Poor villagers if they have self respect should rebel against the charity giving rich people and work hard to become rich people themselves

I don't think any celeb will have a heart enough to adopt the people living along side the dirtiest place on the planet ..The Musi River

Celebs will prefer villages to adopt because villages sound nicely exotic and poetic and Dhoolpet sounds dirty

Villages atleast have so called green fields and supposedly pure air ..Dirty back lanes in cities don't have that too ..who will adopt them?

I wonder if any celebrity will adopt the back lanes of Ameerpet in Hyderabad.I think there are more poor people there than in many villages
