20 Red sanders were shot dead in Andhra Pradesh at chittor.Special combing squad had encountered them near thirumala of chittor district.
Special Task forces and the special combing team had done this encounter in the Seshachalam Hill ranges near tirupati.According to the official reports 20 were shot dead,of them 11 were encountered in Cheekatikona and the remaining were killed at Eethagunta.Both of these places were around 10kms deep into the forest.
According to the reports this is the highest ever enrolled encounter in which 20 persons were killed in an encounter regarding the Red Sander.
In the beginning of the encounter,policemen asked the engaged woodcutters to surrender but they refused to surrender and they rained stones on Policemen.So policemen with the assistance of the Special Task Force killed them.
