Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday gave a piece of his mind to top officials of the district, including the Collector, Municipal Commissioner and the Pushkaram Special Officer for “slackness” in Pushkaram works.
Soon after emerging out of the Madhurapudi airport, a visibly upset Naidu questioned East Godavari District Collector H. Arun Kumar and the Special Officer (Pushkarams) Dhanjunjay Reddy on beautification of the airport road, which would be used by VIPS to enter the town.Expressing anger over the quality of works, some of which are still incomplete, he said “it reflects negligence of officials”. His inspection of various locations, where Pushkaram works are on, lasted up to six hours.
