Kshanam Review: Racy Suspense Drama

Story:-

Rishi(Adavi Sesh) is an investment banker settled in the US. One fine day, he gets a call from his ex-girlfriend Swetha(Adah Sharma) and rushes back to India to meet her. Upon his arrival, Swetha reveals a shocking truth to him that her daughter has been kidnapped.

A curious Rishi approaches the cops but to his surprise, they do not cooperate with him at all. He then decides to start finding the girl all by himself and comes across many shocking truths during his search.

What will Rishi do now ? How will he go about his search ? and what problems does he face during this time forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points:-

Undoubtedly, the heart and soul of the film is the handsome Adavi Sesh. Right from the first frame to the last, Sesh impresses you with his emotional performance and amazing screen presence. He carries the entire film on his shoulders and proves what he is worth of. Adah Sharma gets a meaty role and performs with a lot of ease and sincerity. She is especially good in all her emotional scenes.

Anasuya makes a confident and shocking debut with Kshanam. She puts aside her charm and glamour and gels well in her role of a cop. She was very convincing during the climax and is an actress to watch out for. Other surprise of the film is Satyam Rajesh, who is superb as a frustrated cop. He excels in his character and shocks you with his acting capabilities. Satya Dev underplays his role quite well and ably supports the film.

Interval bang of the film is spot on and sets up the pace for the rest of the proceedings. Credit should also go to Adavi Sesh for penning such a unique story which is quite new for Telugu films. Vennela Kishore and Ravi Varma are also quite good in their cameos. The way all the twists and turns are narrated in a racy manner is what clicks with Kshanam.

Minus Points:-

There are certain threads which are not explained clearly. The way Anasuya’s character goes about dealing with important situations could have been showcased even more convincingly.

Also, once gets a feel that the suspense is dragged a little bit during the second half. This is not the film where you expect some popcorn entertainment and all those who seek that will be disappointed. A song during the first half could have been edited out to make things even racy.

Technical Aspects:-

Kshanam is one of the technically strong films in the recent past. Even though it is made on a shoe string budget, the production values are superb and credit should go to PVP for backing up a project like this. Camera work by Shaniel Deo is top notch and showcases the film in a engaging mood. A special mention about the music director Sricharan Pakala, who has given a thumping background score which lifts the film decently. Screenplay by Adavi Sesh and Ravikanth Perepu has a few glitches here and there.

Coming to the director Ravikanth Perepu, this young man has impressed with his debut film. The new age director has narrated the film in a gripping manner and did not shy away in showcasing some hard hitting twists and turns. What makes his work appreciable is the fact that he manages to build and maintain the suspense till the very end of the film.

Verdict:-

Off late, Tollywood is surprising us with some out of the box and sensible films. Kshanam falls in that category and does not fall for the so called commercial trap. Racy narration, suspense factor and terrific performances from the lead cast are huge assets. Barring some unconvincing points regarding the plot, Kshanam ends up as an intense and enjoyable thriller which will not disappoint you at all. Go watch it.

The movie  was based on comedy based subject. The trailer reveals that, Vennela Kishore who insulted a god was punished by a rat ( eluka), which is the medium of lord Ganesha. Once Vennela Kishore insult the mooshika when he visits lord Ganesha temple. After the incident he will face many consequences from that rat is the movie. All the frames in the movie were very hilarious and Brahmanadam Vennela Kishore were performed excellent in their roles. Audience were satisfied with the full length entertainer.

Padesave Movie Review :  Outdated love story

Story:-

Karthik (Karthik Raj) and Niharika (Nithya Shetty) are childhood friends who are very close to each other. They spend some good times together and during this process, Niharika falls in love with Karthik.Twist in the tale arises when Karthik falls in love with Niharika’s best friend Swathi (Jaheeda Shyam) who comes back after finishing her studies. As time passes by, a huge confusion makes Niharika believe that Karthik is also in love with her.What will Karthik do now ? How will the triangular love story end ? and who will sacrifice finally ? That forms the rest of the story in padesave movie review.

Plus Points:-

Surprisingly, the production values and visuals of Padesave are striking. First half moves at a decent note with enough entertainment and comical situations. Coming to the performances, Vishwa Raj as hero’s friend takes the icing on the cake. He is at ease with comedy and his expressions are spot on for the situations.Karthik Raj is okay in looks and manages to hold on to his role well. Nithya Shetty is below average in looks but did a decent job acting wise. The little jolts in the love story successfully keep the proceedings interesting to an extent.

Minus Points:-

The biggest drawback for this rom-com is the boring storyline. Stories like these are decades old and this one is no different. Although some scenes are entertaining, the crux of the story is quite boring.After a promising first half, the movie takes a straight dive and fails to pick up for the rest of the movie. It is hard to connect to the proceedings as they bore the audience by the time the movie heads towards climax. The climax also leaves a lot to be desired.The songs are a big minus point and come as sudden speed breakers. Raasi is seen on the screen after a long time but she looks awkward and her role is half-baked. Ali and Vinayakudu are also wasted in meaningless roles.

Technical Aspects:-

Production values are striking and overall visuals bring value to the flick. Editing is sub-par. The background score is fine in certain places but songs are crummy. Cinematography is pretty good for a low budget flick and dialogues are ok to an extent.Coming to director Chuniya, she succeeded in providing sparse entertainment but her storyline and second half are not apt. A tighter screenplay and entertainment in the second half would have made the movie much better.

Verdict:-

On the whole, Padasave is a disappointing rom-com entertainer. Although the first half and production values will leave a good impression, the second half and a routine storyline will work against the movie. Watch it only if you have nothing else to do or wait for it to come on television.

Created in a rural Rajasthan setting, the advert starts with a doctor giving up on his patient, Deepak Dobriyal, as he speaks to the patient's father, Alok Nath and tells him nothing more can be done to save the man so it's time they sent him off happily after fulfilling his one last wish. Deepak's last wish is marrying Sunny Leone, so the family (assuming they went to great lengths and got it done) gets him married to the lady of his dreams.

One 30 year old Senthil is working as an organiser for a workers welfare union for a political party office, but police were informed that the party office has nothing to do with brothel operations run inside by him. After getting a clue on prostitution inside the building, police raided to catch 14 people in the act and sent a 15 year old girl to sanctuary.

Chhitorgarh : In shocking and shameful pictures coming from Rajasthan, Chhitorgarh forest department drew criticism on Wednesday after male forest guards were seen performing the fitness test of female candidates, who came for Forest Security Guard Positions. The medical examination of the successful candidates, who have passed Forest guard recruitment exam, has started from February 16.

Such appalling visuals of male police personnel conducting the physical examination of women candidates is of  Rajasthan's Chittorgarh area.As per the reports, there were 18 female candidates who have cleared Rajasthan Forest Department written exam and were physically examined by the policemen in the presence of women constables and top authorities.

In the video, a male forest guard was seen putting a measuring tape around the chest of women aspirants. Even a male personnel went to such an extent that he asked the women to take deep breaths while measuring their chest.The forest minister has suspended the male forest guard and has ordered a probe into the negligence of the women doctors in the medical board constituted for the physical examination.

As per the women official deployed in the recruitment board claimed that the physical measurement of women is done by women in a closed room.Video surfacing on social media shows a male official conducting the physical test of female candidates for the post of guards in the forest department.
