Ghibran composed the Music and bgm to the film.On 9 August 2014, director Ramesh Aravind confirmed that the shooting of the film had been completed.He also mentioned that for the first time, Kamal Haasan has dubbed the complete portions of this Telugu movie in his own voice. In early 2013,N. Lingusamy officially declared that Kamal Haasan had agreed to direct and feature in  the film.Yet the name of the movie is not conformed.The project was eventually titled as Uttama Villain on June 2013.Uttama Villain Movie is directed by Ramesh Aravind and written by Kamal Haasan and is produced by  S. Chandrahasan and  N. Subash Chandrabose under the banners  Raaj Kamal Films International and Thirrupathi Brothers respectively.Initially Kajal Agarwal was reported to have signed on to play the lead female role but her dates were already allotted for other projects. Shruti Haasan was considered for the role of Kamal hassan's daughter on screen but her unavailability meant that the team chose to pick a new actress instead.Kamal noted that the movie would have some very funny moments, but won't be a full-fledged comedy.Cinematographer to this movie is Shamdat and the stunt master is Peter Hein who made distinct efforts to show the stunts in creative nature.
